I travel to Antalya from the UK as often as work and other commitments allow. Some friends and I had wanted for some time to do a Turkish language course in Antalya so we took the plunge and decided to have two week’s study with Seray. We had some information and reviews about her and her classes and at the end we thought that our decision was a good one.

Seray was well organized, friendly, but clear about our learning goals as a group and individually. The materials we had access to were varied and helpful as were the teaching techniques. She also gave us a range of digital material which will help us continue learning now the course has finished. I wish I had spent more time on learning Turkish. I look forward to repeating again very soon.

Seray was my teacher for over 3 years. Whether the focus is on grammar or just language conversation practice, Seray is great at accommodating to your language level. As a teacher, one of the things that I appreciated most about Seray is her ability to be patient in conversation and allow the learner time to think about what he/she wants to say. In my Turkish learning journey, I have so much gratitude for Seray and all her help.

In 2015, I spent four of my most beautiful weeks in Antalya, studying with Seray in the mornings and visiting Antalya and its surroundings in the afternoons and evenings. My Turkish skills definitely improved. We worked as a group of four and now I have an English, German and an American friend. Seray was really polite and helpful, and also very friendly. Sometimes we ate together and even there she encouraged me to speak Turkish and not English. She even invited me to her wedding!  At the end I can only say that I’m ready to repeat everything that I did there.

I worked with Seray when she was teaching in the Language Center. Class was perfect; a mix of people from all countries. Seray could keep up with all those languages being spoken in the classroom and still maintain control. The lessons were great and the activities (playing games in between lessons, having breakfast together, etc.) were very nice. Through these activities I also learned a lot about Turkish culture and food. One day we even cooked and ate the traditional Antalya dish “piyaz” together at Seray’s house.

I will definitely go back to Antalya and keep working on my Turkish with Seray in the future. Actually, we already talked with a couple of people from my class about meeting there next.
